Apple Pencil gen 2 not working

My Apple Pencil gen 2 stopped working on my iPad from one day to the next. I’ve had it for 2 months and it worked perfectly fine until a few days ago.

It still charges on my iPad so I figured it was issues with the tip. I purchased new tips directly from Apple but that didn’t resolve the problem. I followed instructions from “Connecting Apple Pencil to iPad” and still no luck. The pencil charges but doesn’t work on the screen. Anyone with similar issue or a solution to the problem? Thanks
