How to import XML? The manual says File-Import-Other. But the latest version of Logic does not have that option!

I tried dropping the XML file onto the Logic app icon, and import started. After an hour it was less than 1/20th thru the progress bar.. Using latest Big Sur on a clean install, newest Logic Pro trial, 3,2 Ghx 6 core intel Core i7 Mini with 64GB RAM nothing else running.

It is 320 MB. I too would prefer using the File-Import menu option, but, as I wrote, the manual said to use the "Other" option - and there was no such option in the menu.

I since stumbled on the answer while learnng to use the score page - First go to File-Preferences-Advanced and check off all the options.

Then, and only then, can one follow the Apple manual's instructions.

Perhaps I failed to read the manual correctly. Or perhaps the manual was not edited to be usable by someone using it to look things up, and not reading it straight thru like a novel...
