It takes longer than the normal Apple logo appears after the start. It used to be 3-4 seconds now 15-17 seconds. My older Mac only 3 sec. What is going on? How to make it back how it was before?
I found the cause of this. All I had to do is to select the start-up disk in preferences. Sometimes, when I use my clone drive for a start-up I select the clone and I normally move the settings back, this time I totally forgot.
Maybe the next time I should just start with using the option key and select the drive.

Cold be many things...
Failing Hard Drive.
Too Full of Hard Drive.
Other connected Drives.
Not enough RAM.
Too many Apps loading at startup.
You can use Drive DX to possibly get a better view of Drive health…

Try a Verbose Boot holding CMD+v keys at startup, things go by pretty fast, but see if you can spot repeatedthings,stalls or something else... used to be space bar temporarily paused things as I recall.
