I’m not sure if you remarks about spotting an Apple employee are sarcastic or not :) because I don’t see how it isn’t obvious to everyone.
Sadly, I have to tell you that I wasn't being sarcastic.
I think that any response you receive anywhere online has to be weighed up; you have the tiresome burden of deciding whether a response (or the person behind it) has a valid point or not.
Anyway, back to your problem. It set me wondering and so I checked on Amazon's website, because it's there that I would expect Amazon to confirm whether a device I had would be able to benefit from this fantastic audio quality (now I'm being sarcastic).
Well, that was a disappointing experience, I have to say. I found a glitzy Amazon page that told me (among other things) that I could "hear the difference" and to "Tap the badge to toggle between the spatial and stereo versions".
It was not obvious what "badge" was being referred to, unless they meant the "Try It For Free" button, under which was information about the cost per month etc. In other words, click here to sign up, with no promise of "hearing the difference" before paying. Call me old-fashioned, but that's not for me.
I am interested in a better experience from the music I listen to. However, so far I haven't heard anything that would make me pay up front, because let's face it, the trial will involve handing over payment details, starting the trial, disliking the service but forgetting to cancel before the specified time and to end up paying for something you don't want. And I've yet to discover what the difference is between spatial audio (as mentioned by Amazon) and binaural stereo (something from years and years ago, that has never quite caught the public imagination).
I'll be waiting until I can hear this amazing thing personally, perhaps from a friend who has it.
Perhaps I'm just a grumpy old man.
