I have a rogue extention called searchandshopping.org thats hijacked my browser. Has anyone else had this problem and knows how to get rid of it?

Weird Sites Popping Up Hello, I had a random weird site pop up on Safari yesterday and today and I don't know how to prevent it from happening again. I think all I did was visit a site about golf lessons (the one from yesterday I do not remember. WM maybe?) and this blurred site that looked like it was p*rn was in place of that site I was looking on (or maybe it opened in another tab but I didn't notice, idk). I immediately exited out of that tab, cleared my history (again I did that yesterday trying to change the phone number on my WM account), and removed the website data but not sure if that helped. My antivirus free trial is up and I cannot renew my subscription right now. Thanks.

Have you tried uninstalling the extension from the Extensions tab of the Preferences panel? That's in Monterey, I don't remember exactly how it was done in Big Sur assuming you're on one of the two.

If another OS version, the process will be similar.
