iPhone 13 Pro Camera Not Focusing At Close Distance

TLDR: 13 Pro camera is consistently producing awful quality and blurry close up photos.

My 13 pro is brand new, have had it less than 3 weeks. It had issues with camera focus re: auto macro which this newest update (15.1) was supposed to fix. Now when I have that off and try to take a picture, no matter if I LOCK AF or not, the picture is blurry and low quality from the front camera at a certain distance. My 12 Pro routinely took better close up photos than the 13 Pro. So frustrated as I was promised this update would “fix” the focus issue. Now it is actually even worse. Considering returning the phone. Anyone else experiencing this? Have soft reset, factory reset, settings reset, closed camera app, etc.
