iCloud+ Hide My Email on macOS Monterey

So I’ve updated my MacBook Pro to macOS Monterey and I also have iCloud+ (50gb option). When I click on the “Hide My Email” option buried in System Preferences, I get a dialog box to the effect of “Not available right now. Try again later.”

However, Hide Me Email option works on my iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro (both on iOS 15.1). I haven’t read anything yet about this Hide My Email option not working on macOS Monterey. Can anyone shed light on this?

Thank you for finding that discussion thread. I wasn’t able to find one which is why I started this thread.

(I tell ya, this ‘new’ — now old — version of Discussion is terrible. Apple Support Communities board used to be so much more navigable and is was so active and had a lot of helpful chatter.)

Hey again - just wanted to come back here and confirm it now works okay for me! Maybe give yours a try new try, it sounds like the error message was correct. You do indeed need to try again later :D
