airpods connecting while in case

I've noticed that my AirPods (particularly the left one) is connecting to my computer while it is still inside the case, and it drains the battery as well, as though i am using it, although i am not. the only way to stop it is to switch off the Bluetooth on my computer.

not too sure why this is happing or what to do.

Airpods disconnecting from new Macbook I recently purchased a MacBook Air Version 11.3.1. Since purchasing, my airpods have been a continuous hassle that never happened with my old mac. They are continuously disconnecting from my macbook for no reason, or if any activity happens on my iphone it disconnects from my mac and connects to my phone. This has been SO frustrating! Especially if I'm working in a public, quiet place. Is there any way to fix this?
