Haptic feedback of my trackpad doesn't work

Hi, since a couple of weeks, the haptic feedback in my trackpad stopped working. After a lot of searching, I found a lot of solutions like resetting nvram and SMC, but this ended up not working. I was hoping that the new update Monterey (v.12.0.1) would fix the issue, but that also didn't happen. Today I also contacted apple through the chat support, but they didn't think it was a software issue. So I'm starting to think it might have to do with my battery, maybe it has expanded a bit, and is now pressing on some of the haptic hardware. Does anyone have other ideas as to what may be wrong?
