Googleadservices redirect when clicking on a Google Ad from Mac Safari

I was having a problem clicking on an Ad in Google Search for some product at the top of the page. Every time I did it I got an error it wouldn't get past Googleadservices.com ... I called Apple Support and they tried everything and they couldn't get it to work either until I stumbled across an article about DNS search. I went in to Network Settings and for both ethernet and wifi I changed the DNS at the top of the list to Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and low and behold it now works!
