I migrated to a new Mac mini but my email password did not. Can I go into mail on my old computer(which still works) and retrieve my email password?

So, assuming you've used no 3rd party Password Managers, go into the old Mac > Utilities > Keychain Access and search for Mail and then look through the results. Once you have the right account, right-click and select Get Info and in the Attributes tab, there is a Password field, check the box beside it to show the password.
Now, make sure to write down the password and your Account details. I say this as you should make sure to have a secure backup Password Manager (be it provided by Apple via Keychain Access or a 3rd Party like 1Password or LastPass).

Thank you. I now have Hope! I got a password from your procedure, although I know it's NOT one that I created. I have to hook up my new computer to try it .... tomorrow after work. will report the results.....
Thanks but the 35 character password I found there was not the one google wants to see. I only saw one item that looked like it referenced "mail". I'll check again.
