Hello so I just installed apple new operating system Mac OS Monterey and for some reason when I full screen on iMovie I just see a black screen on the top. See the picture for more information. The problem is not on other apps just iMovie.
Your screen shot shows a blank project screen. It is normal not to see a menu bar at the top. If you push your cursor to the top of the screen, so that it hits the top, the menu bar will appear.

iMovie is in "full-screen" mode.
Hit the esc key to shrink it and permanently reveal the menu bar.
To return to full-screen click on the small green circle at the top left.
I mean I just see a black screen not the menu bar on the top
