for all devices..... should apps be closed or open always?

Your iPad will automatically and optimally manage system resources. Unless misbehaving, there is no technical advantage in manually force-closing open Apps; when idle, Apps are placed in a suspended state where they consume almost no system resources.


Apps resuming from a suspended state will resume far more quickly than re-initialising a fresh running instance. Resuming from a suspended state is also considerably more power efficient.
