My iPhone 7+ keeps disconnecting from wired earphones and lightening adaptor

My iPhone 7+ recently started to disconnect from both wires earbuds and adaptor. It does this usually when I open another app or lock my phone. I know that the earbuds and adaptor both work. My phone also has no problem charging. I’ve shut my phone on and off which fixes it for a little bit and it’s also updated to date. Is there anyway to fix this? Or do you think the charging/plug hole needs to be replaced?
