Imessage won't activate after update IOS 15.1. & Photos still taking up space on iPhone even with iCloud...

Hi,

Today I updated my iPhone to IOS 15.1. and when I turned the phone back on, imessage wont activate... It says : waiting for activation..

The second question is why are photos still taking about 10GB of space even when my all photos are synced in iCloud...?

Hey there, MilanDobrijevic.

It appears you're having two issues with your iPhone, one with not being able to activate iMessage and another for iCloud Photos storage. The steps inside the following article may help with iMessage: If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

Also, photos will continue to take space on your iPhone. You can read more here:

To reduce the storage size, you can delete any unwanted photos and videos, along with making sure 'Optimize iPhone Storage' is enabled in Settings > Photos.

Take care!
