Apple map or imap

I am using map and unable to see my own speed or MPH and it’s so annoying . Is there any way to d that I have looked all over internet and YouTube and it’s not supporting … it’s my 7th day of using iPhone and seems it’s irritating me a lot . How unfortunate that I am unable to see my own speed I am driving … I also tried Google map they don’t show either . I know there is waze but I would rather use apple map . Thank you
