Special audio in not available on macbook pro m1 . How can I enable this feature on my MacBook pro.

it is working on my iPhone

On all my new MBP M1s, Apple Music would not stream Spatial audio (latest OS v. as of 11/13) - the option is greyed out. However, if I download the song/album and play the downloaded file, the audio is spatial - no longer greyed out. Due to the large number of complaints across the web, I think this is an Apple M1 problem.
