My iPhone 12 pro is lost either misplaced or stolen. The last location cannot be updated. On my backup phone, it shows sound playing but the lost mode is pending. Does it mean someone is using my phone? BTW it's still listed on my device list. Any help would be appreciated:)

I am not sure about the Lost Mode message . It may be that the phone cannot be contacted in order for all the instructions to be completed but the service is in process once the phone connects.

When it first got lost, both play sound and lost mode were pending. Now the sound is playing but lost mode is still on hold. Or the sound isn't actually playing because I couldn't do it with find my on my computer. And I'm not getting an email from the icloud team. I need answers from apple.
