Apple Watches stop working exactly after the warranty period and they can't repair them, it is pretty sad that they don't design them to last, particularly for swimmers.

Are apple watches supposed to last more than 2 years immersing them in water (swimming)? My watch failed due to water ingestion presumably and no repair is available, which is really upsetting.

The Apple Watch is water resistant, but not waterproof. Unfortunately, water resistance isn't a permanent condition and may diminish over time. Apple Watch can't be rechecked or resealed for water resistance. For more info, see:
