How can you reset a MagSafe wallet that is connected to someone who returned it to the store. There is no battery to remove.

I agree. There doesn’t seem to be any way to fix it and it pops up a “not your wallet “ message every time I attach it. Thanks

See the section here regarding being connected to another Apple ID. If an item or device is connected to another Apple ID - Apple Support
Return it to the store where you bought it and explain to them that it's useless because the original buyer did not remove it from their account.
