Can't receive emails containing a single pic that I have sent by email from iPad. Checked at Google.com and they are not there either

Did you use the native Mail app on the iPhone? Did you see the mail in your Sent folder of the mail account that you used? Did you see any errors when you sent the mail? Is it the mail or the attachment or both that are not arriving? Do you see anything in your Outbox? That is mail waiting to be sent.
It would seem there is an error in your sending mail with iCloud, and it would seem to be the outgoing server. However, I believe that iCloud email is managed automatically. I suggest you check the information in this support document about using iCloud email. See if this helps. If not, then you will need to use the Get Support link at the top of the page to contact Apple Support. I don't know of any additional settings to check for iCloud email.
Not iPhone but iPad.
I take a pic on my iPad, then want to send it to my Desktop. Suddenly, this method does not work anymore.
No errors when I send. I was getting the usual 'whooosh' (but email containing pic never arrived) but now that has also that whoosh has disappeared.
Email itself (with no message) with pic do not arrive. Nothing in OUTBOX or JUNK.
Can't see a SENT folder on this iPad. I never email anyone except myself with pics.
Chris, checked and found ALL the emails are in my OUTBOX on my iPad. There was a message at the bottom saying something like error iCloud. Not showing now as instead shows WIFI image and updated 2 minutes ago

As you have realised, I know very little about how devices work. I use my iPad solely as a camera and sending pics to my own Desktop.
Through what you said, I looked further and saw where I was asked to agree to terms and conditions re iCloud (or words to that effect). When I checked that, all came back to normal. Problem solved.
