applied password forgotten

My daughter (under 13) forgot both her appleid password and iPad passcode.


The recovery mode is set to my phone so each time I try to reset the password, it tries to send it to the iPad, which, of course we cannot access. I cannot even do it through family sharing as it still wants the password. Any ideas?


The end of the road says we can reset the password in 5 days, but Apple says it will send updates and instructions to the email address, which of course we cannot access :-(
