Apple ID Activation to create account with Podcast Connect

I created a new Apple ID just now to upload my podcast. But I cannot connect to podcast connect as it's saying my apple ID is not activated. I completed the full activation, including payment information, and there's no email or anything I can do to activate anything further.

What's happening?
