How do you turn OFF SIM lock on an iPhone XS Max running iOS 15.1 which is set to British English.
Apple refers to Settings "Cellular" SIM lock but that doesn't exist.

I knew that “Cellular “ is translated to “Mobile Data “ (the “Data” reference is misleading) but there still isn’t a place to turn off SIM lock. And yes I am referring to the lock on the physical SIM provided by the carrier/service provider
If it is the SIM that is locked go to Settings/Mobile Data and tap on SIM PIN, and enter your SIM unlock code. And if you don’t have one you need your PUK from your carrier, or a new SIM.
But it still isn’t clear if that is what you want or if your phone is CARRIER locked (sometimes incorrectly called SIM locked). Go to Settings/General/About and look at Carrier Lock. That will tell you if the phone is locked to a carrier, and if it is you will have to ask the carrier it is locked to about how to unlock it.
