Copy a table and paste a table within a spreadsheet

How do I copy a table within a spreadsheet and paste it in the same spreadsheet with the same grid lines and borders? When I copy it and paste it the cell information shows up but the borders are not there.

Hi jandscanada,

Click anywhere on the table to make it active. Then click on the "bullseye" (top left) to select the whole table.

Menu > Edit > Duplicate Selection (command D) and drag the duplicate table to where you want it.

Ian.

Thanks Ian. I think I may have described my question wrong. It is a group of cells within a table that have borders and I want to copy and paste that into another area of the same table with the border formatting. See below.

I'd like to copy all that and paste the same a couple columns to the right with the same format. When I try it it just copies and pastes the cell text and not any of the borders. In the past I've just redrawn the borders but was wondering if there was a way that would copy and paste it all.

Thanks again. - James
