Is it fine to charge with 20w charger to iPhone XR ? Currently am using 20w charger for iPhone XR I found that phone is heating (not as regular heat )up while charging, once I remove the charger it will come up to normal in few minutes, help me out whether should I keep going with the same charger or should I buy 12/5w charger .

Hello Pradeepkorekar,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We see that you've got some concerns about charging your iPhone XR with a 20W adapter. We're happy to help.

The iPhone can surely be charged with a 20W adapter. If you're using a third-party adapter make sure it meets the recommended specifications. Take a look at the following resource for more information:

Power adapters for iPhone

If you continue to experience unexpected temperatures while using this adapter, we recommend that you test the issue with a different adapter to see if this persists.

Let us know the results. Be sure to include any other steps that you may have tried.

Have a great day!
