Is it possible to charge an iPhone 12 mini with a non-Apple power supply and cable? Does it cause damage to the battery?

battery damage i have an iphone 8 plus, ios 13.5, i connect my phone to charge and it will disconnect and connect agin i thought that maybe it would be my charger but i’ve tried it on different chargers and it does the same thing. i’ve restarted it like twice and shut it down .my maximum capacity is at 77%. i dont know if there’s anything that can help it.

iphone 14 tesla charging I just got an iPhone 14 (not pro or pro max), and it will not charge on my 2021 Tesla Model Y charging pad. My iPhone 11 had no problems charging. Any fixes other than using a cord?

You can use non-Apple power sources and cables, but they should be good quality ones that are certified as Made for iPhone. Cheap knockoff cables and power sources can destroy your phone (not just the battery). See→Why Counterfeit Lightning Cables Kill iPhones - Motherboard.
