Best Banking app

I am looking for a Banking app. I was thinking of using YNAB (You Need a Budget) for my budget.

I was think I also need a mac banking app to keep track of my checking accounts. It would be nice if this app could auto sync with my bank. NOt sure if this is a option.

2nd on Moneydance, and I have used it for years. They just released Moneydance 2022+ and they are working out a few issues, so, if you do go with it I would suggest downloading/installing the latest version of Moneydance 2021. I have it installed on both my MacBook Pro M1 (Big Sur) and my Intel iMac (2017 running Catalina) and it functions perfectly on both. It has the ability to "sync" via Dropbox (v2022+ introduced sync via iCloud and that's where the issues are that I mentioned above). Any changes made on either system are updated the next time you work on Moneydance. Good luck in your search.

I have been using Quicken (Deluxe) for Mac and have been very happy with it. Great features, stable, works, updates easily, I've had no problems with it.

(There were a lot of complaints about Quicken around 2015 when Intuit more or less abandoned the Mac market, then re-entered with a series of releases starting with Quicken Essentials for Mac that frankly left a lot to be desired. I think that is now ancient history.)

Yes, it's now a subscription model. That said, after the first year you can continue to use your existing version of Quicken without a subscription; all features are still intact except online services (e.g. online banking). You have to renew the subscription to continue receiving app updates and online services.

One more thing, regarding auto sync with your bank - ask your bank about this ... some banks charge fees for this service!
