logitech usb for mouse and keyborad not working in MacOS 12 Monterey

I am using M1 Macbook pro. Today, I update the system to MacOS 12. However, after the installment, my Logitech keyboard (k330) and mouse (m215) cannot connect to the computer. I have tried everything I can find online, including reinstalling the LLC and removing the Bluetooth setting in "~/Applications/Preferences". But nothing changed.

I cannot find the solution, and I think it might be a bug in the new OS. Does anyone have the same situation? Or can anyone provide other solutions? Thanks.

The Logitech K330 keyboard is targeted to Windows XP through Windows 10 and was not offered in a Mac version. It has a Logitech Unifying USB transmitter that is required for keyboard and mouse connectivity, both of which require a fresh battery and that the devices are switched on. Your only other option is to use a different USB port on the Mac, and there is no assurance that the Unifying transmitter will work through a USB -> USB-C converter.

Expecting a device not offered for Mac compatibility to just work with a new Mac operating system is wishful thinking, and short of switching the USB (not USB-C) port for the Unifying transmitter, or fresh batteries for the devices, it may never work with macOS Monterey.

The K330 combo is no longer offered by Logitech on their site. You should contact Logitech.

Hey there, XBchen!

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.

Being able to use your preferred mouse and keyboard is super important. We can help figure this out.

To start, have you tested any other Bluetooth devices to see if they work? Sometimes it can help to isolate an issue to a specific accessory or accessories. Here's how to do that if you have another Bluetooth device handy: Connect a Bluetooth device with your Mac If other devices work but not your Logitech devices, then we'd recommend reaching out to Logitech for some further assistance.

If you're not able to test (or if the device you test with also doesn't work) then we'd recommend booting into Safe Mode and testing to see if you're able to get connected to the devices there. Here's how: How to use safe mode on your Mac

We hope this does the trick for you!

Cheers.

Hi, thanks for your advice. I tried all your methods, however, it is still the same issue. I checked my USB hub, which has a type-c, 2 USB 2.0, and one USB 3.0. It turns out only USB 2.0 ports are not working. I don't know why, since it works fine for MacOS 11. After updating to macOS 12, they immediately stop working.

I am very skeptical that it is an OS bug.
