Junk mail

Just got an iPhone 12 mini and switched to Verizon. Getting a lot more junk mail. What happened and what do I do to stop it?

To filter junk mail on your device, you would need to log into your mail account on a browser and then setup junk mail rules. On the iPhone, junk mail is recognized based on what you send to junkmail from your inbox and the phone learns this information, or you setup a filter on the mail server.
