Hi, did you get this fixed? I upgraded from a series 5 to 7 yesterday and have lost my ability to connect to cellular in the process. I spent 5 hours on the phone with my telco and it still isn’t working.
feeling frustrated.
I didn’t have to do anything, the issue was with my Telco. The Number Share service was not cleared properly in my account from my previous watch.
Once that was sorted the “Add Cellular Plan” option became available to select in the apple watch app and I was able to add my plan.
Yes. After hours with tech support with my phone carrier(Verizon) they got it to work. They know it’s a known issue so keep trying.

same issue here, about to give up and return it…Verizon seems clueless
Finally got mine working… 2 chat’s an escalation, a phone call and almost 24 hours later.
what did you do to get it working?
Don't get off the phone with tech support until it starts working. They need to add the watch to the phone plan and make sure it goes through and then it should work.
