Lightning to USB using a wireless mouse ?

Continuing this older thread . I have an Apple USB C to USB3 adaptor ( from Apple ) . It works very well with an Anker USB dongle ( Anker vertical ergonomic mouse ) + Apple 1 st Gen bluetooth keyboard . I use together with Pages . You can download photos a USB external drive / stick but I have not found an option to download Pages documents . This is using the iPad Air 4 .

Considering the Apple adaptor price , am unsure whether a Lightning to USB connector would work with the Anker mouse dongle using my preferred iPad - Pro 10.5 . Apple’s own description is only as a way to transfer photos off the iPad .

Anybody out there using a wireless mouse with the Lightning / USB Apple adaptor ?

Am not using 3rd party adaptors , but buy directly from Apple .
