CPU History

I generally keep the CPU History window from Activity Monitor open all the time to let me know generally how busy my machine is. In Monterey, the CPU History window is a lot huger than it used to be even after shrinking it down as small as it can go. Noticed this both on my 16"MBP from 2020 and my 2016 15" MBP after upgrading.

Activity Monitor and overheating In my MacBook Pro’s OSX 10.15.7 Activity Monitor, there is a process called ‘deleted’ which is causing an inordinate amount of CPU use (over 150%) and for up to 20 minutes, causing my MacBook Pro to dangerously overheat. Any ideas, and should I be worried? Roy P

cpu threads - kernel_task The activity monitor app on my MacBook Pro 13 inch, 2018 model, shows that the kernel_task is using 200+ threads, the next highest thread count is about 40. Is that too much and if so is there a way to fix it without damaging anything else?
