If you are going to replace the battery, by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Providers read this Apple article:

I had been to an Apple Authorized Service Provider in my region, and went through all the steps with the employee, to check if there are still things that need to be done.
No problem & good to hear the battery replacement went well.
Thank you for your feedback.
Thanks for your reply. I read the article but it doesn’t say anything about resetting the phone before repair. It seems to me that a reset would be a good thing to do so that the repair guy can’t access or copy my data. Like payment details or contacts. I have backed up the phone.
Thanks. I should have read the whole article but I skipped the “if you send it” part because my plan was to take it in for battery replacement. I had an appointment today at Best Buy, they are an authorized Apple repair shop, they had it finished in about two hours. All is well. The IPad is probably next.
