Safari does not open some sites (online 3D cad sites)
Hi,
MacOS Catalina (Version 10.15.7)
Macbook Pro (13 inch, Mid 2012)
Processor: 2.9 Ghz Dual Core Intel Core i7
Memory : 16 GB 1867 Mhz DDR3
StartupDisk: Macintosh SSD
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB
Safari Version 15.1 (15612.2.9.1.30, 15612)
System is fully updated
I noticed a strange problem since yesterday.
I use www.onshape.com for 3D design work. I am able to browse to my documents folder on this site with no problems.
However I cannot edit any of the documents, Safari tab stops loading and 'a problem repeatedly occurred with....' error appears, see attached screenshot
I have tried other online 3D sites, tinkerCAD, even these return the exact same error.
I tried other browsers as well
Firefox: Crashes immediately on opening the 3D document.
Chrome: The document loads continuously, and nothing seems to happen
Edge: Same as chrome, nothing happens, the document continuously loads
I have tried opening other documents, but the results are the same
I did a compatibility check and this returns as OK, with some latency issues (I think), see attached files
I did a NVRAM reset, SMC reset, cleared the caches, history of Safari, but with no effect. I also used a wired ethernet connection instead of wifi, and also switched ISPs, but again the problem remained the same.
I was able to edit these documents two days back with no issues. I think an upgrade is causing the graphics/network to slow down. But this is just my guess.
Any help please??
thanks
