Trying to remove Capital One Shopping

I first tried removing the extension from Safari browser preferences. It states I cannot remove because the extension is part of the "Capital One Shopping" application. When I attempt to move the application to trash it states I cannot because the application is in use. I have opened the application in order to "quit" the application. Still no luck. Any suggestions?

We understand you're having an issue uninstalling a Safari extension and it's related app. Since it's keeps showing it's in use, try restarting your Mac into safe mode first: How to use safe mode on your Mac This prevents all third-party process and non-essential apps from opening. Then uninstall what you need to, and then restart your Mac like normal.

We hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction.

Take care.
