iPad Pro Won’t Turn On

Long story short…

I bought my iPad Pro 10.5 in 2018 and just last year it started to have some issues. It would turn off randomly and the only way to turn it back on was to click the wake/sleep button and the home button 5 times and hold it down on the 5th.

It would do this often but every time that routine would turn it back on so I didn’t think much, until this year 2021 it completely turned off and nothing is working. I’ve tried that 5 click routine, the (burping) method, new chargers, ports and boxes. Nothing works.

I took it to Best Buy to their certified apple geniuses and the guy plugged it in and realized it got no power. Didn’t try and fix it, just went to the binder with all the pricing. My iPad is of course out of warranty so he said it would be $450 for a new one… I only bought it a few years ago so I decided to try a repair shop instead.

Fast forward two weeks later after dropping it off at the repair shop and they said they tried to replace the mother board, the battery, leave it charging for three days, tried resets, etc and…Nothing. “iPad is unrepairable.”

At this point reading some other people’s issues I’m assuming it is a software or firmware issue. Can anyone help please?

Is there anyway to reset the iPad through itunes without the iPad being able to turn on?

The iPad has to be able to start in order to be able to do anything with it other than recycle it.
