Final Cut Pro 10.6 Titles/Generators Pane Screwy

So when I click on the Titles/Generators icon, it just collapses the sidebar of the library, still shows my video clips (or is just blank) and no titles or generators visible. However, if I roll my mouse around in the pane, the preview of the title of generator shows up in the viewer window, but that doesn't help because I'm flying blind, not knowing what I'm clicking on. Also the library icon and the titles/generators icon will both stay blue at the same time as if they're both chosen, it's weird. Anyone else have this problem? I'm on Monterey 12.0.1 as well. While I'm on the subject, events and projects take several minutes to load now. The project I'm working on currently is about 5 minutes of clips, no effects, nothing heavy going on, and it now takes 12 minutes to load. I've re-installed final cut, restarted (Mac Pro 2019), gotten rid of Chrome and keystone, and nothing's changed so far.

Turns out it was a matter of incompatible (i.e., needs updating) 3rd party generators and titles that were making the pane act so weird. I pulled out the titles and generators folders from the motion template folder, launched FCP again, and it recreated those folders - complete with most of my 3rd party plugins somehow - but did *not* load a certain set of them into those new folders. I ran a side by side comparison of what was in the old folders I pulled out, and the new ones FCP but back in the motion templates folders, and singles out the ones that were missing from the new folders. And of course, now the title/generator tab/pane works normally again, including the "allowed" 3rd party plugins. I've compiled the list of suspect plugins to save others time. I *still* do have the issue of loading events and projects. It took that same aforementioned 5-minutes-of-clips project from above, 7 minutes to load, and the project itself almost 2 minutes. Hopefully Apple will look into that one.

Oh yeah I'm sorry I forgot to mention I have trashed the prefs repeatedly with the Preference Manager app to no avail. So you can see in the pics the pop-up context window still shows for the title or generator if you hover the mouse over it, you just can't see it, and if you scrub the effect will show in the viewer, so yeah... weird... And yes I'm on Monterey. I'm also wondering if there's some generator or title that needs to be updated to work with either 10.6, or Monterey, or both, that's causing some kind of conflict, so I'm considering removing all the plugins to see if that works and then slowing start putting them back in until I get the issue. All hypothetical at this point though. I did restart and hold down the cmd and option keys this time to see if that made a difference vs the manager app. I immediately clicked on the titles/generators button before loading my library, and as you can see in the last pic, no icons but a preview of the effect in the viewer. The screen grab didn't capture the pop-up context window this time but it was there. The ui just isn't drawing in the thumbnail/icons for some reason.
