In Mac 11.6 with icloud, I cannot open a new shared album. Each time I click on new shared album, photos closes. I have several shared albums already which work normally. I'm not even close to my storage limit. What gives?

In Mac11.6 with icloud and plenty of unused storage, I am unable to open a new shared album. Clicking on +new shared album from Photos, the application Photos closes. Anyone have same problem? Are there any work arounds? Is there something I should be doing or should cease doing?

Starting in safe mode clears a load of caches and temporary files. Probably some other stuff I know nothing of.

Sometimes some of these files can get damaged causing apps to misbehave. When this happens safe mode can fix it. Doesn't always work, but normally worth a try if there is no other clear explanation. Apps freezing or incorrectly closing are typical misbehaviours that can be fixed (although not always) by safe mode.

Hi

Try restarting your mac in safe mode, then try again.

Then restart normally and try once more.
