How do i turn off memories?
I would like to turn off the photo Memory function on my iPad. How do I do that without having to edit each one of the memories that Apple has selected?

while it cannot be disabled, you can turn off notifications for suggested memories also. On the iPhone, go to settings, notifications, photos. then towards the bottom, customize notifications. Then you will see some settings - Memories, Shared Albums, etc. Hope this helps some.

While there isn’t always a solution to a problem, very often there is a workaround.
An App like Light Room e.g. offers features very similar to the photo App minus Apple scanning each an every photo you take.
It even features a camera which should put the pictures you take right into the app storage.
Videos e.g. can be taken with apps like Horizon.
The photo app isn’t really something you actually need and no photos = no memories
I've tried EVERYTHING to try get rid of this silly feature! I have an iPad PRO, and I feel when a device is called 'PRO' it should not have childish facebook-features like that.
I keep selecting 'feature less' for each and 'delete' but they keep coming back!
This feature really, really need an off-button, and do many other annoying automatic features on iOS devices. Not all users want everything to be like facebook.
Apple invite constructive comments and feature requests via the Product Feedback portal. This is perhaps the best channel through which to express your frustration:
The solution to prevent Apple from scanning your photos and creating memories is rather simple.
Don’t use your ios device as a camera.
Don't keep photos in your ios Photo App
Follow those simple rules and you’ll be safe.
You are not the first to comment upon the Memories feature. There isn’t a setting that disables the creation of Memories - although individual Memories can be edited and deleted.
