I recently upgraded to Monterey and I do not maintain Reminders on my MacBook Pro. An unknown birthday reminder just popped up and I'm not sure how or why this happened. I do not know this person and there are 0 reminders in the app. They are not on my other devices either and I do not use iCloud. Is there something I should be doing so this doesn't reoccur?

Ahhhh, I now see what you meant. I hadn't enabled Siri so I thought I was done. I have now unchecked everything and hopefully that's it. I Reminders have never appeared my MacBook Pro before, so it was a bit of a surprise when a completely random name showed up with a birthday tomorrow! Thank you very much for helping me.

It might be the Siri Suggestions in apps.
Open Siri System Preferences and click on Siri Suggestions & Privacy button.
Select the App you don't want to use Siri Suggestions with and disable the checkbox.

Siri being disabled would have nothing to do with those suggestions. I don't know why those things are bundled under the Siri umbrella (maybe because Siri is an assistant).
If by disabled you mean that you went through every app in that list and disabled the checkbox, then I don't know what would go fetch a random birthday.
Thanks for your reply Old Toad. I have unchecked Siri suggestions and it didn't appear today which was the date of the random birthday, so I believe that might have initiated what was happening. Thank you again for your response, much appreciated.
If you haven't found the cause boot into Safe Mode according to Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
