About Airpods Pro from USA

Hello, guys :)

I buy a Airpods pro before few days from friend, who buyed them from USA, can you tell me why when I check airpods with this serial number H3***C6L, I dont have a 1 year warranty ? Or after when Im active them, the warranty will star when they are connect with my phone? (they are still not connected and opened from the box)

Did your friend buy these from Apple itself or an authorized dealer? Does it say coverage has expired? If Apple hardware is bought from a store that is not authorized by Apple to sell its hardware then warranty coverage starts the day that store bought it from a distributor. That means that sometimes coverage has expired by the time an individual has purchased the device.
