So after the phone updated itself I can no longer use my microphone for talk to text while connected to Bluetooth.
i have tried all of the fixes besides factory reset of the phone but nothing is working.
Any help would be great.

It sounds as though you’re not seeing the microphone option on your keyboard to use dictation to enter text. Apple Support Communities is a great place for help with this feature!
If the microphone is missing you can go in to Settings > General > Keyboard, and make sure a green toggle appears next to Enable Dictation. If that feature is enabled, tap on Dictation Languages to make sure the language of the keyboard you use has a check mark next to it.

It is definitely my truck. I tried several devices and they all allow the microphone to work. Now to figure out what the problem is with my truck.

We’re glad the microphone appears on the keyboard. Since having this issue have you tested an alternate Bluetooth device, or attempted to forget and pair the Bluetooth device back with your iPhone? If not, this can be a helpful step to reach a resolution. You can forget the Bluetooth device by going in to Settings > Bluetooth, tap the Info icon (i) next to the Bluetooth device, followed by Forget This Device.

Nope. In order to use the microphone for talk to text i have to disconnect the phone from the vehicle.
Thank you for the help. The microphone icon shows up and I can tap it however when connected to Bluetooth I do not hear the beep and the phone does not recognize sounds.
Did you ever get this fixed? I have more or less the same problem but with a Bluetooth headset, works perfect on pre iOS 15 but no microphone in iOS 15 and up… Currently on iOS 15.2.
