After updating to 15.1 I notice an orange dot when having a conversation. Is the microphone recording my private conversations?

I have read the orange dot indicates that the microphone is recording. I can’t find an app that is activating the orange dot. Is my iPhone compromised with spyware?

The orange dot indicates that the microphone is in use…….. that’s it.
