Issue charging MacBook Air via USC C

I have just noticed a small (or maybe big issue)! For some reason, I can't seem to charge my MacBook Air via usb c both ways! I works when I put it in one direction but not the other! Also, for some reason it works in the second usb c port! Also, even weirder point, it works when I plug in a dongle both ways in that same port! I don't know if this is even an actual issues or if I am just nothing this now for the first time! I just need some advice!
