Do you have pages saved to your Safari Reading List? These pages are saved in their entirely - to allow offline reading when you don’t have a network connection - and may account for some (if not all) of the data that you wish to delete from your iPad.

To access your Reading List, in iPadOS15, open your Safari sidebar.

Having accessed your Reading List, pages can be individually deleted with a left-swipe to expose the corresponding Red Delete option - or collectively using the Edit button that appears at bottom right of the sidebar.

If you have followed all of the advice provided by the Apple Community Specialist - and have been unsuccessful in recovering the “lost” storage through deleting your Reading List - I suggest that you ensure that you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup of your iPad - then reset your iPad and restore your data/files from this backup.

The restoration process will recover any lost/fragmented storage.

Hello Tony,

From your post it appears you are wanting to remove the documents and data from Safari on your iPad.

If you tap on Settings > General > iPad Storage > Safari > Website Data, you should be able to tap Remove All Website Data.
