Compressor error: System Error = -9074 {Unknown Error: -9074}

After updating to Monterey last week, one of our iMac Pros gives us this error when sending a job from Final Cut to Compressor:



We have trashed the Compressor prefs in Library/App Support, reinstalled Compressor and even reinstalled the OS, still same issue. We also granted full disk access to Compressor in System Prefs/Security, still same issue. Any help appreciated.

It's working for me now, on an iMac Pro, after the updates.


I'm glad Apple finally fixed this issue. What really gnaws at me is that I paid for AppleCare. I have an open case that is almost 2 months old. No one, not even their engineers, could tell me what was happening. The last 2nd tier guy I spoke with told me the engineers "were aware of the title issue" and he would get back to me.


Then they ghosted me. Mind you I never got a "case closed" email. Instead, no one returns my calls or my emails. It's been over a month since they ghosted me. Now that the issue is resolved I can go back to my normal workflow. But I have certainly lost some confidence in AppleCare and Apple Support. This from a full time Mac user since January 1985!

I get it. It was a pain in the butt that happened right when I had a lot of stuff to do to get my files out to customers. And likely there was nothing more they could tell you. I used to be an Apple Premier Developer. For the thousands of dollars my company paid for that, my level of access wasn't much better. You submit a bug report, and then it goes into a black hole. Yes, as a developer I understand what happens next and that not everyone can or should have access to the bug-tracking database, but a little more notice would have been nice.


Glad it's working for you. I delivered my last DVD and BluRay last week to my clients for this event. It's nice to know it'll (hopefully) be working in tome for the next one.
