Update Apple ID Settings

in my iPhone settings there is an alert that states Update Apple ID settings and I can’t get rid of it and it asking for my Apple ID password.

Is this for real or phishing/fraud?

It's real.

Apple requires a login to your AppleID from your device every so often for security reasons.

Simply follow the prompts and login and the alert will go away.
