Scanned documents DISAPPEAR in Notes

I have bought an Ipad Air to use Notes and scanned several documents since I decided to go fully digital. I am now using my Apple pen and taking notes. The scanned documents are very important, because they have historical client related information.

I now I noticed that they simply vanished from my notes! There is a blank page instead of some of them. And yes, I have the latest IOS version in all my devices. Need some urgent help. Thanks!

Thank you for your answer.

Please note however that this isn't a case of a missing note. What is missing are the scanned documents, which I had embedded in the notes. They appear as a blank page. See please the image below. It seem to be a bug. This does not happen with pictures (no one went missing so far). I have not altered these notes in other devices.

I appreciate some further assistance with this.
