M1 series Mac Linux Support

Hi,

I’m a PhD student looking to upgrade my work computer, which is currently a MacBook Pro 2015. I’m interested in M1 Macs, both MacBook Pro and iMac, for their impressive processing and graphics performance. My work flow in robotics and AI requires Linux, so I’d prefer to be able to dual boot it with macOS. How is Linux compatibility with M1/M1 Pro/M1 Max? I have an iPhone and Apple Watch and use iCloud for data syncing and storage, so I’d like to stay within the ecosystem, but if Linux isn’t supported on M1 I’d consider switching to Windows.
